Day 7 - We did it! Merry Christmas

My intentions of writing daily thoughts for the seven day Christmas countdown were genuine. Day one and two started out with thoughtfully crafted poems, and three through seven are basically cliff notes trying to capture a wonderfully chaotic week. I'll own it.

Day 1 - Poem inspired by one of my favorite NYC girls

Day 2 - Haiku inspired by my winter fantasy

Day 3 - Received an outstanding Christmas gift from the Big Apple - my boss called and I'm back to my pre-covid job. I'm working remotely and learning how to cope and do business in a new world. Technical support will be my friend.

Day 4 - Re-acquainted with my awesome team in NYC! Let's do this.

Day 5 - One day to clean my entire place and prepare food for seven

people. Lasagna layers require patience and love. I tried to make bruschetta for the first time and it was not pretty. Let's just say I burned some toast and I burned my hand. Thank goodness for red wine. Next please.

Day 6 - Christmas Eve - I entertained for the first time in my new place and we had a blast.

Day 7 - Here we are - Christmas Day! It was my mom's turn to entertain and she did a stellar job as always. I'm bone tired right now, so I'll make it short. I'm thinking of how lucky I am to be healthy and have food on the table. There are people who waited in food lines for three hours to get some food for the holidays. I always think about children - safe and unsafe - and just hope that kids who need extra help had a little joy today.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO MY LOYAL FRIENDS AND FAMILY!
