Once beautiful and young in the sea

Much like the story of you and me

Time waits for no one

Not a person, not a home, not even a dome

Erosion and hardship have taken a toll

But we're all still standing and no one takes your soul

You can deface us with your words, and write graffiti on the wall

But remember that even the mighty can take a fall

No matter how you started and if you're rich or if you're poor

You'll be just fine if you hold on to your core

So when you sink into the sea and your looks start to fade

Hold on to your spirit and you'll always have it made

Some days it feels like the birds just want to land on your head

Just keep it moving and be proud of the life you've led

Shine on my warriors and live a life that is rich
